VICOBA Camp

Members of Community Resource Banking Initiative (COREB) from 15 communities gathered at the Kitega Centre for the annual VICOBA camp 2017. The theme for this year was ” Faithful Stewardship”

Community Resource Banking empowers and equips individuals to achieve their full potential starting with the resources around them.

The annual camp bring together different communities that a using the VICOBA model in Uganda, it is an opportunity for fellowship, sharing best practices and experiences, brainstorming and  plotting new ideas, and learning new things all aimed at improving VICOBA.

The 2017 VICOBA camp was very successful; VICOBA members were equipped with new skills in agriculture, handcrafts, leadership, business skills, health living among others.

There was an opportunity for a cultural experience with the visiting volunteers from Spain; Vero, Marta,Jessicca and Roberto, the VICOBA members prepared local Ugandan food and the Spanish volunteers couldn’t miss the opportunity to demonstrate how a Spanish omelette is made.  Members also participated in Music, dance and drama.
