Our Volunteers: Alba & Raul

Over the past two months, the Kitega Community Centre was honoured to host Alba and Raul, whose presence added life, curiosity, and encouragement to our community.

Alba, a medical doctor, spent time supporting work at the hospital, offering care and learning alongside local teams. Raul, a teacher, connected closely with our children—bringing joy, play, and companionship, especially during the holiday programme.

While their time with us fell during a quieter season, shaped by holidays and transitions, what mattered most was presence. Through simple, everyday interactions with the team and children, Alba and Raul experienced the spirit of togetherness that defines Kitega.

As they return to Spain , we extend our heartfelt thanks for walking with us during this season. You leave as friends of Kitega, and you will always be welcome here.
