It was my first time as a volunteer… My first time in Africa… My first time alone in a travel to a country with a foreign language… But the will of helping the needed ones was bigger than all the fears!
Being in Uganda with the Kitega and Katungulo children was a beautiful and memorable experience that I’ll never forget.
People in Uganda are very kind and they make us feel at home. I’ve learned a lot during my stay in Kitega. The children of the Kitega Community Center are disabled, very poor and needed…But even that, they can do crafts and they are always open minded and curious to learn new things! I loved to work with them, they are very special and I keep all of them in my heart! I miss the time that I’ve spent with the KCC children and I hope I can do more in order to improve their future!
I cannot forget the staff of the KCC and thank them for all the help and guidance they gave me during my stay in Uganda!
