Spanish Volunteers Bring Music and Joy to Kitega Community Centre

A group of 42 volunteers from Spain recently visited the Kitega Community Centre in Uganda, where they made a wonderful impact with their work and made the Harmony of Hope Concert possible in Kampala.
This concert celebrated 25 years of the Centre’s dedication to the community, featuring an orchestra band that uses music to inspire social change.

The Harmony of Hope concert took place in Kampala and was attended by the Spanish consul to Uganda, adding to the event’s significance. During their nearly two-week stay, the volunteers participated in various projects, learning about the Centre’s mission and experiencing everyday life in Uganda.

The time spent at Kitega left the volunteers feeling grateful and inspired. Many described their experience with words like hope, joy, love, and community. Their visit not only strengthened ties between the two communities but also highlighted the power of music and volunteer work in creating positive change.
